Question 4

Premium vs Classic 'wonky' Trees

Accepted Answer

Both our premium and classic 'wonky' trees come from the same fields and are cut at the same time. The classic trees may have charming imperfections, like a slightly wonky top or an uneven side, but they still offer great value and will last the season - they are definitely straight trees though! If you're after perfection, though, our premium trees are your best bet.

Our Premium Nordmann Firs are classed as “low-drop” or “non-drop” – they hold their needles really well, even in a warm home. Traditional Norway Spruce has that wonderful classic Christmas scent but will shed more quickly, so it’s best for cooler rooms or outdoor use. We cut and deliver trees fresh throughout the season, so with a daily water top-up you’ll get the very best needle retention possible. That said, Christmas trees are still natural, perishable products – a few needles on the floor is totally normal and part of the magic!

Are your trees sustainable?

Accepted Answer

Real Christmas trees are a great sustainable choice. They’re carbon neutral, absorb CO2 while growing, and are fully biodegradable. Can you make a fresh cut for me?

Yes — we can. We’ll make a fresh straight cut (about 1–2 cm / ½ inch) at pickup or delivery to open the trunk and help the tree take up water. If you’re collecting the tree yourself, we can do the cut on-site — or you can do it at home just before you stand the tree up (same 1–2 cm rule). Either way, keep the base in water straight away for best needle retention.
